Aircraft Technical Support Division of General Directorate of State Airports Authority was established in November 2013 following the reorganization in to improve the management structure in public administration, to upgrade public services to modern standards, and thus to respond effectively to the demands and expectations of the public from DHMI.

DHMI General Directorate, owning the General Aviation Operating license, has two flight control aircraft, Cessna Citation XLS, and two helicopters, Eurocopter EC-145.

The following statements are the duties and responsibilities of the Aircraft Technical Support Division:

a) It enables the aircraft to operate in accordance with the MEL (Minimum Equipment List).

b) It plans and monitors the timely execution of all kinds of maintenance, revision, modification, and airworthiness procedures in order to maintain the aircraft's readiness for duty.

c) It makes, if necessary updates, protocols with the relevant/authorized maintenance institutions and follows the maintenance, revision, and modification works of the aircraft in accordance with the protocol principles.

d) It ensures that insurance transactions of aircraft are carried out under the Civil Aviation Rules.

e) It plans and monitors the payment transactions of aircraft taxes.

f) It provides technical, personal, and training manuals to ensure that maintenance services are performed following the standards, and to provide them.

g) In order to prevent the interruption of spare material, parts, and fuel supply works, it determines the needs in time and makes a proposal for their delivery.

h) It ensures to follow and implementation of aircraft manufacturer company documents and DGCA, EASA and, FAA publications.
